Description:

The Double Champ Mod. In 2022, Sol Kendamas pros Alex Mitchell and Kelvin Wong won both of the main events at the European Kendama Championships. Alex won the Freestyle and Kelvin won the Open division. We made this kendama to commemorate their win. By purchasing this kendama, you are helping fund their trip for EKC in 2023. The design of the kendama is inspired by the canals of Leiden, Netherlands. The architecture is mirrored on the top and bottom of the tama, separate by two golden crowns that form the blue canal as a stripe in the middle of the tama. In the center of Leiden, there is a windmill that we saw every day on our commute, so we put a windmill in the center of the top of the tama. Around the handle of the ken, there are repeating W's and M's representing Wong and Mitchell. This feature has nice texture and makes handlestalls so honed. The tama is 62mm, made of beech with sticky paint. The ken is maple with our 1UP shape.

Included in purchase:

One Double Champ mod kendama, extra black string, metal bearing bead, and a Double Champ mod cloth drawstring bag.

About EKC:

The European Kendama Championship was first held in 2019 by Krom Kendama in Copenhagen, Denmark. The focus of this competition was to bring a Freestyle championship of the highest level to the EU. After a break from 2020 and 2021, EKC came back stronger than ever in 2022. Grain Theory Pro Teodore Fiorina took on hosting responsibilities and grew the competition immensely by expanding the competition to two days, and including a Pro Open. In 2023 we can expect to see this competition grow significantly more. Check out @eukendamachamp on Instagram to find out more information about the event!
