A Kendama Gathering at Full Coffee Bar in Nakameguro
On March 21st from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sol Kendamas and Kendama Co are hosting a special one-day kendama pop-up event in Tokyo at Full Coffee Bar in the Nakameguro neighborhood.
The goal of the event is simple: bring together kendama players and friends to enjoy coffee, kendama, and a unique mixing of cultures in one of Tokyo’s newest coffee shops.
Whether you are a local player or someone searching for kendama in Tokyo, Japan, this event is a welcoming place to meet people, play, and experience the global kendama community.
The pop-up is a collaborative effort between Sol Kendamas, Kendama Co, and Full Coffee Bar, creating a relaxed environment where guests can gather, play kendama, and enjoy quality coffee.
Events like this highlight one of the most unique aspects of kendama culture: the ability to bring people together from different backgrounds through a shared interest in creativity, skill, and community.
Anyone is welcome to attend, and guests are free to stay for as little or as long as they would like during the evening.
Full Coffee Bar opened on April 1, 2025, founded by Yui and Arisa, two baristas with deep roots in Tokyo’s specialty coffee scene.
Before opening their own shop, Yui and Arisa built their experience working at Chop Coffee, a respected coffee shop with locations in Harajuku and Omotesando. The Sol Kendamas team first met them years ago on a trip to Tokyo while they were working at Chop Coffee on Cat Street. When Yui and Arisa later announced plans to open their own coffee shop, it was exciting news.

These Kendama Co models are available on the new Shenzhu Shape, which was first released in 2026 through a three way collaboration at Battle at the Border in Nashville, TN.
To support the café hosting the event, there will be a one-drink rule for attendees.
Each guest is asked to purchase at least one drink from Full Coffee Bar while participating in the event. This helps support the shop and the people making the space available for the community.
Beyond that, the event is casual and open, so players can bring their own kendamas, meet new people, practice tricks, and enjoy the evening.
