Netflix's Online Shop Features A Kendama Inspired By A Hit Anime

The streaming platform Netflix has entered the ecommerce retail space with it's new online store, Netflix.shop. The store features branded merchandise from some of their popular television series like Bridgerton, Stranger Things, and Eden

One collectors item definitely caught our eye, a limited edition kendama designed by Nathalie Pguyen, which features a wooden apple tama atop an "E92" base made of durable, ABS polymer. Currently, the kendama is only on pre-order and is set to release on October 31st, 2021.

"Netflix.shop will drop exclusive limited editions of carefully selected high-quality apparel and lifestyle products tied to our shows and brand on a regular basis," says Josh Simon, VP of Consumer Products for Netflix.

Besides the kendama inspired Eden, a plethora of other high-ticket items will be features in Netlfix's shop.

"Among the items debuting this month are streetwear and action figures based on anime series Yasuke and Eden; as well as limited-edition apparel and decorative items inspired by Lupin in collaboration with the Musée du Louvre."

Simon continues to say that, "Just like in our series and films, we’re excited to work with new voices in this space as well. Netflix.shop is also introducing a collection of anime-inspired collectibles from a remarkable group of up-and-coming designers: Nathalie Nguyen, Kristopher Kites and Jordan Bentley."

The designer kendama runs for $50 and can either be played or for display purposes only. As a kendama company, we think it's always cool to see kendama hit the mainstream in some form or another. I mean, who doesn't have Netflix right?
